Third in the Maiyan Nation series, this book stands alone. This is future fiction.  It's all very possible.

Maiya is the name of an asteroid way past Mars, now housing 40 Americans, who thrive in a utopia they made.

Rudan means 'Warrior'. It is a city of Iran, an Iranian citizen, two actually, and in this book a Manchurian Kris, which is the deadliest sword in existence, with a sintered diamond edge sharp enough to slice through bone.  Space fighter pilot Rudan, the person and the kris become the Maiyan Lion, hoping to save a nation from extinction.

Dereck Haas betrays the USA to China to buy an army, and then he betrayes China to advance his nepharious ends. He covets the metal Iridium, for it enables PHOX technology to drive spaceships that can dominate the Earth, Moon and Mars.  Only the asteroid Maiya has any.
 
 Also Maiya has more gold than Earth, just sitting in a haystack in fiberous form.  Haas mounts a sortie with 22 spaceships to steal it all, and kill everyone in his path.

Only Admiral Rudan stands in his way, in asteroidal space.  But there are defections within in his ranks.
